A few days ago I got to visit the Duke Gardens for the first time with Dawn & Kelly! It was so much fun as I know it’s a really popular spot for weddings, portrait and family photography, and just hanging out! The gardens themselves are 55 acres of beautiful gardens (obviously!), wooden structures overtaken by blooming flowers, and little areas that you might swear were stolen from The Secret Garden. It’s free to enter and explore and if you’re ever in the mood for a fantastic little – or not so little – stroll I highly recommend you visit. There is even a section with some towering bamboo and gorgeous stone work! I could probably spend days in here and still not see everything.
Of course, we ladies are photographers so what else would we do other than take photos?? I mean, gorgeous gardens, perfect sunlight, how could we NOT take some shots of each other?
Look at those lovely ladies! Later, I even caught Dawn in the act of catching Kelly! Photoception, y’all.
If you are looking for a spot to have your next photo session, look no further than Duke Gardens! There are a million and a half spots for an awesome shot and I know one photographer who would be more than willing to assist with getting some great shots 😉 (that’s me…in case I wasn’t clear enough!). I’m definitely looking forward to the next time I get to explore some more of the gardens and the surrounding Durham area! I’m missing it already.
Here’s to exploring!
