I cannot believe that it is already time to look back over what 2014 held – I feel like it was just a few weeks ago that I was saying I couldn’t believe 2013 was almost over! As I started blogging more faithfully in March of this year I thought I would look back at what this year held through some selected posts. This by no means encapsulates all the ups and downs that this year has held but who needs an exact timeline? Personally I just want pretty pictures 😉 This is a great capsule of my past posts as well if you’re new here (hi!!). Next week (like when it’s next year and after a totally revamped Life in Squares post) I’ll post about my goals for the upcoming year. But for now let’s look back and see what this year has held!
• I’m officially one year post-op from my VSG! • I got married – and we’re coming up on one year of that pretty soon! • Southwest Airlines & Champagne perfection. • Thanks to this Christmas I’m obsessed with instant film cameras (poor Andrew, he doesn’t know about the eBay stalking yet). • I participate in Fantasy Football, willingly!
• Oh, Fredericksburg. You have my heart always! • We had a wedding reception in Buffalo for my family and it was too. much. fun. • I want to stay at the Morrison-Clark Inn 5evr. • Once again, Virginia is kind of the best. The CLIC Conference was great! • Visiting the Biltmore & Downtown Asheville made for a great Thanksgiving! • Go to the American Tobacco Campus.
• One of the first shoots this year was Katie & Jon in Downtown Raleigh – so sweet! Plus, check out that bangin’ old logo. • The CLIC Conference Styled Shoot was WAY too pretty. • Stephanie & Robby are TOO cute and their wedding was perfect! • Cassie & Josh’s wedding was a backyard dream. • The King’s Daughters Inn was a great setting for this styled shoot. • The Andersen’s were a perfect close to this year & their Christmas cards were adorable!
• Erin Condren took over my life a little (…a lot). • I had to write a lot of Thank You cards this year, I magnanimously saved some tips for you! • Why you should (or shouldn’t) cruise! • The North Carolina Fair. ‘Nough said. • Really, you’re not the only person glued to your phone. • #100HappyDays was pretty great. • Look! Cheap and fun date night ideas!
I have to say, 2014 has definitely been my favorite year so far. I’ve had even more trips than what I’ve had a chance to chronicle here, I got to commit to my favorite dude, and things have really been changing thanks to getting more involved in my own life (crazy, right?!). I know we all say it, but I feel like 2015 is only going to be better. Of course there will be challenges but it’s years like 2014 that tries you and gives you tools for taking on what’s next. And I’m so excited to take on what’s next.
What were some of your favorite moments from 2014? 🙂
Wishing you goats and historic hotels,
